Frustrated with Gun Club Experience

Im a Member of Triggers and Bows and Waterford Sportsman Club in Southern Ontario and they are both Great Ranges! Each has dif perks that the other does not so combined its Amazing! Triggers and bows is a 25 M indoor range only that has 24 hr access to members!! I love that and go real late at night often. The downfall of that place is the largest rifle you can fire is .223 (Handguns are open to all calibers) I get to shoot my AR so Im happy :) They have had CFO and insurance inspections tho as they are trying to open it up to larger rifle calibers. (fingers crossed) Waterford Sportsman Club has an indoor range (handguns only) 25 M I believe. Lots of Outdoor range space and Skeet and Trap and they are in process of expanding and upgrading. Only downfall with that place is the hours suck.

I am sorry, people at those gun clubs have their noses so high in the air its a wonder they can even shoot their guns and hit anything! When I went to join my local gun club the guy that taught the PAL and RPAL courses was also the club prez. So I had no problems.

Sorry to revive the thread. But I figured posting here would be better than starting another thread. As I live close to the Langley Rod and gun club. Figured it would be a convenient location for some spur of the moment range time. I did read over the web site but could not find info on what(if any) restrictions on firearms use on their outdoor range. As far as I can tell the outdoor range does accomodate skeet. Is anyone hear a member?

Not a member but I shoot trap there on occasion. There is skeet and a indoor pistol range (no magnums) 22 rim fire rifle . If you check out their website calender, your will find they have limited hours/days which they are open.

Sorry that you had a negative experience.

Hang in there - You always get some of the bad with the good. My experience has been the majority of people are open and welcoming to newcomers. Each range might have a different flavour to it, but be patient. I'd invite you to my club but unfortunately I'm in the wrong province. We make a point to be friendly and approachable. I think it's important for the future of our sport.

Thanks StoneHorse, yeah I wanted to get some target time in with some of my semi auto rifles. Wasn't sure if they were allowed at the outdoor range. Will have to pop by.
