So I take the dive into the handgun world and buy a GP K100 on Tuesday. Excited to get it to the range. But wait! They didn't have a copy of my gun club membership when I phoned to check on Thursday. Glad I checked since they were sending me a snail mail letter to say they needed it before the transfer can go through. So I scan and send it and get the reply that it will take 5 business days to add that to my file to complete the transfer. Then I can go and pick it up and go through the STATT and LTATT BS. What a joke. Hopefully this nonsense is solved if that bill goes through the house/senate....

Because it does not make any sense, even to a 5year old, we absolutely know their agenda....
They just have to move a mouse a few inches and left click.

Your CFO sucks! Or the store is just giving you some BS run around.... I just bought a Glock last Friday at 7pm, On Monday at 12 noon the store called me saying they have my ATT and its reg ready for pick up. When I bought the gun they just asked for the name of my range, no membership card or anything like that was asked for to process my reg and ATT. They got it for me on Monday morning within a few hours....This is in Toronto

That was my 2nd handgun purchase, first one took 4 days at a different store.

Yeah, the gun membership was weird to me. Not the store I don't think. Called them and they were good, just said they couldn't transfer until the paperwork came through. All CFP BS from what I can tell. And a friend had a totally different experience getting his Glock. Seems different everytime. Almost as frustrating as getting the PAL in the first place...

Hi Guys

This is not the CFC but rather our wonderful CFO in BC who seems to think they can make up whatever rules they want to.

It took me 3 months to get my first restricted firearm. Phoned, transferred papers etc, registered, signed up for collector, then they told me to get a range membership, and by the time that came in... I sent it to to the chief and then finally I got a letter saying it was approved and another two weeks went by before my registration came in the mail.

Next time I hope it's less then a week.

Same thing just happened to me. What utter BS. Five day wait? They had everything they needed YESTERDAY. I am only home from work for 6 days and they say they can complete it AFTER I leave. Not a happy camper.

Mine worked out finally. It was 4 business days and the transfer notice and LTATT were emailed to me. Getting the STATT was easy and took a few minutes and was emailed to me. Still, 8 days total for something I'm already licensed for....
