FS2000 production rifle pic

i wonder if a cool importer could get them to do a 18.6 inch canadian version, like we see for more and more pistol now. At around lets say 2500$ can they would fly off the shelf if reviews are good

That would be too cool in 18.5" bbl (470mm or greater). Ensuring that it would be NON RESTRICTED.

In its current configuration it would be restricted due to bbl length, although its overall length is allowable. 5 round maximum, AR mags .. very cool.

Unless its listed in a OIC, it should be allowable if it is designed as a BULLPUP (which it is). The Walther G22 mess up has shown that even the RCMP makes mistakes.

Aside from bullpups being ugly, are they just as fast for replacing the mag or slower? I would imagine the rifle has to be tilted for the left hand to reach the magazine release.

No one made a "mistake" on the G22, it was politically motivated from the start. The ruling simply doesn't stand-up to any consistant logic.

Where do the shells eject from this? Is it lefty friendly?

As I see it, the cocking handle is on the left side, so sort of not lefty friendly with optics mounted. But the mag release, if it that black lever in front of magazine, should be.

Call me old fashion, but I've never liked the idea of computer + gun. Though the mp3 player would be nice....

The space was designed for battery pack in the future which could turn the FN2000 into an OCIW type weapon, ie power source for the ballistic computer.

But until then, it could house a cell phone so I could phone my momma and ask her if all bullpups are prohib:cool:

I was thinking this thing was in .223 . Now that I read the spec's, not sure if I want something that requires what at the moment is 'specialty ammo' which probably will not be as low priced as the more common military rounds. I would lean more towards a Tavor or XCR due to .223 ammo avialability.

interesting looking gun, im still not sold on the whole look. But that is probably the way of the futur weapons, lots of plastic.

From what I can see written aside the FN Herstal logo, it uses 5.56X45mm, which is 5.56NATO, and you can use .223 in these chambers...

... and the big space in the butt is left empty as the request of Airsoft Guns makers, so they can fit a big battery when they'll make the AEG version. :D
