A bunch of you have commented already on my sewing skills in a previous post of my "poor mans" sling for the FS2000... Well I had an extra twenty minutes this morning before work and a little Cordura laying around...
Here's the result - Padded luggage for the trunk of the carbine...
There is plenty of room under the hammer/trigger mechanism at the rear of the rifle, so I decided something needed to be in there...
I figure if Fate's Fickle Finger was going to strike me, it would start with this part... I bought a spare from the folks at Questar (such excellent service it's un-describable). If this lifter decides to fail, I think that's it for rounds being ejected...IMHO, it's the weak link in the chain, so at $35 bucks, why not have an extra link... Probably have room in the trunk for a Bore-Snake, and a bottle of CLP!
