FS556 Build Finally Complete!

After several months of sourcing bits and pieces, my FS556 build is done. Thanks to Fab for the great customer service and fast shipping. Much of what went into this build came from either CGN sponsors or CGN members. I did go out of country on a couple of items. :redface: Some pics and a list of components (the FS556 and FF tube are a perfect match, but she just got a wipe of gun oil, thus the discolouration or uneven colours):

16" Green Mountain blued, fluted heavy barrel

This FS556 is simply excellent and I can't give enough credit to Fab for his design and follow up service. Hopefully this weekend I'll be able test fire this thing and see what it can do. Maybe a flashlight and a laser should be next? Zombie gophers beware!:D
 
I really like how you put that one together! I love my fs556 build and I think they are so customizable it will be a work in progress forever!

I think it was about $180 plus tax and shipping (about $13 to ship from BC to NS). Call Bits of Pieces out in BC; they are top notch in every respect.
 
The best stock I never see :D

The 16" barrel is perfect with this YHM handguard, only one thing, change your bipod, take a CAA, much better, and maybe add one endcap.

I wait for some GM 16" barrel too (this week or next week) and I work for 12" barrel.
 
Congratulations on your build. I love seeing these projects come together - I hope to do a 556 myself one day. Out of curiosity, are those handguards solid enough to mount optics on? Say if you wanted to push your red dot further forward?

Am i still on the waiting list for one of those 16" barrels ? Ill pay for it right now even !
