FSB pins punch

Has anyone used nail setting punch for FSB? I bought a 4/32 nail set off Homedepot - it totally destroyed the FSB pin on the Norinco in two hard strikes. I figured I will use the Norinco to test it out before trying it on my US stuff....

the fsb on norinco's are a pain and I have experienced it first hand,I ended up cutting mine off with
a cutting wheel after I destroyed 2 new punches,I don't know enough to compare to other ARs as this was the first one I tried to get off.

I use the nail set on my Colt...no issues at all. I have the full armorer set but these work as well.

I got the nail setter because the head is concave, easier to sit on the pin head.

Funny thing, the package of the setter actually said for "non-hardened nails" only - so these pins much be made of Tofu. For the record, this Norinco is from the Lever's batch.

The nail set I have has been used a lot, it has yet to damage a set of pins. You need to wear glasses though as I did have the biggest one shear a corner and go flying once when I was at Hunters...

It's hard to imagine a FSB pin taking any damage. Makes you wonder.
