FSB shadow/blur in ACOG?

When looking through my new 4X ACOG I really see a pronounced blur/shadow of the FSB. I've always read that it is never an "issue", and I've looked through an Elcan before and not seen this blur at all. Man, is this blur ever annoying.

How many others notice this?
 
Yah know what it might be, it's on my mid length...... extra 2 inches out..... maybe that's why? How do you guys find the ACOG w/ rifle length gas? Maybe Imma being way to damn picky....
 
It's not an issue, get out and shoot and you will realize that little blur aids in not canting the rifle.
1.You are being too picky
2.Bring more beer by the shop...we miss you (actually your beer)

Cpt Canuck, i can't believe that!!! I gotta get a pic up.... mines quite pronounced compared..... also depends what i point at; ie, inside walls(CQB stuff) ,not really noticable w/ BAC though(two eyes open) and bright(sunny) outdoor foregrounds.

In all fairness my ACOG sits atop a larue mount and that sits on a S.I.R. rail so I am up higher than you.

that's what I thought ;)

But even on a low profile mount. The distraction should not be that big of a deal. It doesn't get high enough to interfere with the BDC.
 
I used to have your set up, not the Larue mount, but the TA51 on a ARMS #50.

Now it is just sitting on the TA51 on the upper receiver rail. I m waiting to switch it onto a ARMS #19s when it arrives. I have look through that setup on GT's gun and the blur of the FSB does not bother me.
 
Man! I know for the Elcan you make sure it lines up with the Picket, then you know you are not canted at all. I like it there.
