Our 2008 rifle rodeo is June 7th and 8th.
The irons and scope matches will be shot on saturday for those that want to compete in the provincial aggregate but do not want to shoot Sunday due to travel constraints.
irons match allows for a one point match sling and any iron sighted rifle of any legal hunting caliber for big game.
Optics class allows for a two point hunter style sling and any legal hunting caliber for big game.
303 British match allows any iron sighted rifle chambered for the STANDARD .303 BRIT. cartridge.
Unlimited is basiclly " run what ya brung"!
Fclass, BR rifles, front and rear rests, bipods, any caliber .
Brakes will shoot together!
targets range from briquettes to gongs.
A hunting rifle zeroed for 100 yards is fine for the optics class and the 3033 Brit is fine with a battle sight.
Irons need to be able to range from 200 meters to 500 meters.
no sighters in between ranges.
Unlimited guns will shoot from 200 to 500 meters.
There are belt buckles for 1st,2nd, and 3rd places in all matches and a top gun and Jr. Top Gun.
Also a team match this year. two man teams - targets will be announced.
Entry this year is $20 for the works, including a beef on a bun lunch.
Camping at the range , showers in the club house, range will be open for camping Friday night but the firing line will close early for set up.
the range is aproximately 15KM south of town, just a few kilometers North of the 881 turnoff.
