Hello, All!
Here I go with my first post! Just had my new Sig 1911 RCS at the range. The gun shot accurately, but I had consistent FTF issues. The last round in the mag would just not feed properly. The slide would lock back after the second last round, and the last round would be found sitting on the feed ramp. Any ideas or suggestions? By the way, I was using range ammo, American Eagle Ball .45ACP.
Thanks!

Master chan, were you using only one mag? try different ammo, try different magazine, be patient, sometimes a sig may need 500 rounds of breakin before it becomes flawless.

Thanks for the input, everybody. I was using the two factory mags that came with the gun, and unfortunately I only had range ammo on hand. I will have to go pick up a few different brands and give them a try. At this point, I am suspecting a magazine issue. A few more trips to the range are in order!
Thanks again, everybody!

You may need to be patient. When my GSR 1911 Carry was new it also had FTF's, much to my disappointment. However, after about 150rds it smoothed out and functions flawlessly. Altho it is a top end piece, I also insisted on polishing the ramp as I do on all my autos as its can never be too smooth.
Good luck

Hello to all. Just a quick update. Put a few more boxes of ammo thru and the gun showed marked improvement. Last trip to the range and there were zero FTF issues. Once she was broken in a bit, it was smooth sailing! Thanks for all the advice and input from everyone. I know Sig 1911s have had a bit of a bad rap, but with a bit of break in time, mine has proven to be a great gun. P.S. How can deny what a hot 1911 you get when you put a commander slide on an officer frame!
