Fudd looking to buy AR15 lower...pre Lieberal stupidity

Most places are selling out/sold out of the $99 Aero lowers (Saskatoon and others).

But there is a place that sells tigers with arms in Port Coquitlam BC that has over 100 Gen II Aero lowers in stock, at $99.

And if you want a hand gun, S&J TT stripped frame for $52.49 taxes in shipped.

So for $164.49 taxes in and shipped you’ll have an AR and a handgun. If things go sideways and it’s confiscation, you don’t loose much. If it’s grandfathering, you’re in for cheap.

This is exactly what I did Friday. Aero lower from saskatoon and tt33 frame from s&j

Im looking at some options, and the online order forms are seeking club name.
As Im not a member of a club any longer.... I was not aware that this was a requisite!
I just renewed my rpal last October, and nothing was made of me not being a club member.

Advise?

Not required in Ontario. You're good to go.

As others have mentioned, most places have stripped lowers for $99 and you don't really need to spend more because the lower is the least useful part of the gun; it just holds the parts together that do the actual work.

Your basic brackets of complete ARs are as follows:
- $500-$600, cheapest you'll find, all Norinco.
- $600-$800, basic models from Ruger and S&W.
- $800-1000, some other brands, or Ruger/S&W with more options.
- $1000-$1500, the start of the "good" ARs. Bushmaster, Sig now makes a $1099 option.
- $1500-$2000, Better Sig models, and the bulk of the Colt lineup.
- $2000-$3000, "Better than MilSpec" models, Daniel Defense, Noveske, Bravo Company Manufacturing, etc.
- $4000-$5000, Ultra premium like H&K and Knights Armament.

For your first AR you really may want to buy a complete unit so you're not building it part by part and researching everything.

Another option is to start with a cheaper full AR and then gradually replacing all of the parts you want with higher end parts, and then at the end of the process you rebuild the original AR from its parts and either sell that or keep it as a second.

Good luck with your purchase.

If ever there was a time for another sale like the M&P Sport 2's or the DPMS Oracle for $500ish out the door now is it...

I bet a killer deal on (not Norinco) entry level Ar's would sell like hot cakes right now...

Beats getting stuck with inventory when the Lib's drop the ban hammer...

Got any Game & Fish type clubs around? Those are typically cheap to join

our CFO will not transfer a restricted unless you have a club (or, presumably, have collector status).

If ARs or all semis do get banned via an OIC, does that mean you cannot buy parts for them as well?

So all the guys with unfinished receivers will have just that...an unfinished receiver without the ability to buy parts to finish it into a functioning firearm?

I assumed this on Friday when Clement brought it up, and placed 2 orders at brownells for all kinds of spare parts and extras. Hopefully there isn't a halt on customs.

Not required in Ontario. Enter that where it asks for it when purchasing.

You can also pick up a Palmetto State or similar from outlets like I Run Guns, usually for sub-$600.

They get lots of entry-level ARs that aren't available up here.

I looked on there... I can never really figure out what the landed cost is..

Is it the USD + $25 USD import fee + my home province tax x Canadian Change plus shipping?

Cause then it's creeping over the $500-$600 price point....

Someone put an M&P Sport 2 for $500 sale on so we can button this up!
