Fudging Gremlin IS GONE!!! :D

Heard back from Williams Arms. Wolverine (the supplier they got the rifle from in the first place) is expediting some replacement pins out. So hopefully I have it back on Saturday!

Mine did the same thing. If you press sideways on the trigger while pulling it backwards so it engages you might need to make some shims. I made aluminium ones out of a pop can and my 858 has worked flawlessly ever since.

he had a different problem than the shimming can fix. his pins were defective and the pin keeper wasn't keeping.

maybe someone can help me with my gremlin. It's very depressing and happens every mag.

God *ucking *ambit! I must have got the lemon of the year. New pins arrived, however they still will not seat right. Now I am waiting for a new gun to come from Wolverine. Hopefully by the end of the month I will be out shooting again. :(

Yup and only a few shots with her when I did have her. :(

Its been freezing raining here all night, so I guess I'll give the plows a few hours to sand and salt before I make the 45 minute trek to go pick er up. Hmmmm maybe I can ask for a discount on a brass tumbler for my "pain and suffering"? :D

Well I just came from picking up my new CZ-858. After closer inspection, this almost seems like a completely different model of rifle then the one before. The receiver is thinner, trigger guard is different, the internals look slightly modernized and sleeker. All in all a pretty rifle! But most importantly, the pins do not come out as I squeeze the trigger!!! :D

For the inconvenience of the whole deal, the guys at Williams offered me a deal on a tumbler (which I was already eyeing up ;) ). Picked up some surplus ammo, hoppes 9, and some media to go with that brass polisher, and I was set to go!

A+++ for Williams Arms!

Just to be clear, your problem was not the typical CZ "gremlin" correct? My understanding of the "gremlin" was that is was a failure of the hammer to re-#### after firing. Thus leading to the tabbed bolt carries etc. And your problem had to do with out of spec pins/retaining clip.

Just to make sure I'm understanding everything correctly in regards to "THE CZ GREMLIN".

@-Giggidy

You are correct. This is a gremlin 2.0, that from what I understood hadn't been seen at Williams Arms nor Wolverine(I may be mistaken on this part). It was suspected to be out of spec pins, but when replacement pins were sent, they too did not work. After looking at the the outside of the receiver on my new rifle, it appears to have been milled down to make it thinner and the pins fit. I believe my 1st rifle was an early Gen. model that was sent over early and out of spec.

I think I know where your gremlin went... pretty sure it's hiding in my rifle now! Good thing I know how (I think) to fix it!!

My apologies, I did not intend for my gremlin to migrate to your new rifle. :D At least with the regular gremlin there is lots of info on how to fix it, a messed up receiver on the other hand...
