Full Ambi Out of the Box in .45acp?

Possibly available this summer.
 
A 1911 does not require anything more than an ambi safety to be operated efficiently by a left-handed shooter. Use your trigger finger to operate the the magazine and slide releases instead of your thumbs.

Or run a modern design that doesn't have a manual/positive safety and focus more on shooting than operating the controls.

Shoot under stress, then get back to me as to whether such archaic controls are a plus or a minus. Like many, I'm capable of carrying, handling and running a firearm without the advent of ignorant positive/manual safeties. I can control the muzzle, keep my finger off the trigger until sights are on target, and even then I only depress the trigger when I've made the conscious decision to fire. If you feel your skill set is lacking to the point where a manual/positive safety is a plus, then you likely shouldn't handle a firearm at all. Then again, if you're looking for a full ambi pistol, you likely haven't the skills and/or knowledge to know the difference between positive and negative attributes in a modern service pistol.

The M&P45 is fully useable by both left and right handed shooters, as far as the mag release 'only' being reversible, I used to run my mag release on the opposite side from 'normal' (ie the right side, for me being a right handed shooter) it's much faster to hit the button with your trigger finger than it is to hit it with your thumb. Also the M&P45 is highly unlikely to crap out half way through day 2 of a 2 day course.

Does this only apply to pistols? I'm a fan of the mechanical safeties on our sevice rifles too.

That's a bit rude, presumptuous, and unnecessary. I have a 1911 and pistols with right handed mag releases that I can use quite well. My rifles are all right handed. I'm just curious to see a list for myself and anyone else who might want to see it in the future. My P99 is full ambi but doesn't come in .45acp.

The HK can be made full ambi but doesn't come equipped as such.
 
XD in 45 has everything except the slide lock ambi. And you don't really need that except to lock open to show clear, so it's not a huge issue. They feel good in the hand and they're stone reliable

Nice gun but if I had a choice between the slide lock and the mag release I'd probably go with an ambi slide lock. I practice off-handed slide locks to clear certain faults.
