Ok hear me out. Yes I know they are prohibited and yes, as the field to the left states I am a newbie so maybe I am still optimistic that one day things might change. What if the CPC were to introduce a bill that would allow licensed ranges to rent unaltered mags to their members. Signed in and out, never leaving the range. Since ranges are the only places you can leagaly discharge a restricted firearm anyway. No "hazard to public safety", Just used on site for fun and competition. I know gun laws don't make sense and trying to change them in our favour is unlikely but if you give them a reasonable option that minimizes risk then it might have a chance. Of course we should be able to use them without restrictions but I doubt that's likely any time soon. All we need is one MP willing to stick his neck out. Any ideas?

There is no hazard to public safety and the left will not be satisfied until all your guns are gone. There is no compromise and appeasement is futile. They are not reasonable so even if this was a reasonable option, they won't be reasoned with.
Kinda hoped it would be a stepping stone. Sometimes you have to take the boiled frog approach. Unless we can start an entirely new political party willing to actually take up our cause and not just pay lip service we will continually pushed further and further into the wilderness.

There is no compromise with the antis. Compromise would imply that they give something up. They never give anything up. They merely fight delaying actions until they are ready to undertake more offensive action against us. So, as others have said, it would never fly.
Fudds don't care for my .50 Beowulfs, but I still use them at the range. I get a lot of looks. Brings back memories of the good old days when I would just go blasting at the pit with my AR15 back in the 80's. We can all roll over and take it in the A$$ or we can enjoy what we have. I take the later. I however am not optimistic about full capacity mags coming back.

although this is true many who take up this stance are forgetting that we must learn not only from our failures but also from the success of our enemies. yes compromise is why we are where we are, however lets remember that all those compromises have been traveling in one direction. Although this idea would be "compromise" it is one that moves in our favour. and just as compromises have taken away our rights one step at a time, perhaps compromises can be used to slowly gain them back as well. Don't get me wrong i don't think theres a chance in hell the left would ever accept this compromise, but it's food for thought. small, slow, unnoticeable steps.
3 things that black rifles are NOT "Black Rifles". Standard Cap Mags, Full Auto switch, Suppressors. I heard much rumors back and forth that we should get Standard Mags for voting Conservatives.... I don't know. I have only seen the Long Gun Registry removed so far. I know for a fact that more and more people are joining into the shooting sports and finding it weird that mags are capped at 5 and AR's can't go full auto and that new gun owners don't know why suppressors are illegal. It must change eventually because people don't know why these rules are in place when more people die from automatic vehicles.....
