The NFA has been actively lobbying government on this issue. Perhaps if more owners interested in "renting" unaltered standard capacity magazines opted to send an equivalent donation to them and joined up, they could help make dreams come true?
3 things that black rifles are NOT "Black Rifles". Standard Cap Mags, Full Auto switch, Suppressors. I heard much rumors back and forth that we should get Standard Mags for voting Conservatives.... I don't know. I have only seen the Long Gun Registry removed so far. I know for a fact that more and more people are joining into the shooting sports and finding it weird that mags are capped at 5 and AR's can't go full auto and that new gun owners don't know why suppressors are illegal. It must change eventually because people don't know why these rules are in place when more people die from automatic vehicles.....
I have a better idea.....get rid of capacity limits altogether.
I don't know why people keep trying to think of ways to fit things into the liberal-socialist mindset. Its a ####ing stupid regulation and I personally will not pander down to their level of intelligence to gain some temporary benefit.
As much as I enjoy full capacity magazine, it will not happen. There's more logical reason to control magazine capacity the name/ design of firearm. If we want to raise the limit to 10 (doable as its the more common limit) most people will disagree. If we raise to 30, the voice of media will shoot it down.
Before any kettle calls pot black, I'm merely stating what actually could be change.
There is no hazard to public safety and the left will not be satisfied until all your guns are gone. There is no compromise and appeasement is futile. They are not reasonable so even if this was a reasonable option, they won't be reasoned with.
2x for below, heck 1Mx for the below....
on-ca
I wish you luck with that but if I had the money for a lawyer I would get them to have a judge explain to me how grandfathering of prohibited firearms complies with section 15 of the Canadian Charter
Mag limits are ridiculous,
I always think they're a fool's errand because they're so easy to defeat. It's a box with a spring in it, ffs. You may not be able to make a gun with a 3-D printer but you can certainly make a magazine tube.
Sooner or later they're going to have to revisit the issue and I can't see it necessarily being a good thing for shooters if they do.
