Hey guys im wondering what a full out tactical SKS build is worth. Im talking quad rail, laser, lights, bipod tapco stock, forend pistol grip, 20rnd clip, muzzle break with optics and scope mounts. Looking to purchase one wondering what the value is on something like this. What line of SKS is better the Russian or the Chinese?

You can't have a magazine that holds more than 5 rounds on an SKS. As for the rest of it, what ever floats your boat is good to go. There are a bunch listed on the EE and prices vary so you will have to see if they meet your wants and price point.

There is ummm .. ALLOT .. of threads/info about this .. Have you looked? .. if you have, most of it starts making sense after about 2-3 threads. Out of Dozens. You haven't .. .. Go search on a relevant Thread, & you'll find your answers.

I didnt know you could put a quad rail on an SKS. I've never seen one, unless your doing a custom jobby.. the only other "tactical" kit I know of is the ATI and Tapco.. which really aren't all that great. For all the rest it depend what quality you want, you can get a 50$ optic, or a 4000$ optic.. along with every other item you added there. You're also posting this in the wrong section, you will get a lot better response in the red rifle forum.

thanks guys I ment to say 20rnd clip that only holds 5 the dummy ones. not on here a whole lot did not realize that it was a red rifle tread

There is a new stock coming out for the SKS made by, I think, Archangel...have a look at sponsoring dealer Hical's site (amongst others)...It looks pretty sturdy, but I have not seen one yet in person.

BTW, language is a constantly evolving thing... I'm afraid that jumping on someone for referring to a magazine as a "clip" is getting a little bit old.

Merriam-Webster allows for both terms to be used, although "clip" is informal jargon. But everyone here knew what he meant, correct?

""Definition of CLIP

: a device to hold cartridges for charging the magazines of some rifles; ALSO : a magazine from which ammunition is fed into the chamber of a firearm ""

Don't be silly op, buy a cz858 or vz58, you can save up now or spend a lot of money finding that out the hard way. Trust me I should know.

The sks is best in original form. The tapco stock is okay but mags and everything else are garbage. The cz is awesome for what you want, yes it costs more but in the end you will be happy and have a rifle that will out last you

$400 approx.? Russian. Have a look at this scope mount. It is a Made in Canada option. No affiliation. Have a look at this custom stock in the USA.

About the same as a stock one.

Hmmm, what you describe is a tall order. Gonna run you easily $1400 or $1500 in the EE.....if you can convince the owner to part with a sweet rig like that.

Remember, that price is PLUS shipping.

The more "tactical" stuff you add to an SKS, the lower the price gets, IMO.

"Oh, you added a NC Star flashlight, tactical bi-pod and vertical forward grip? How's $20 for the package sound?"
