P&D has just got a couple of fine custom rifles in Mannlicher style stocks with mighty fine walnut, one is in 6mm and the other, unfired rifle is in 308. Truly beautiful pieces. FS

I always thought a nice classic mauser action full stock with receiver sight only (not d&T) in 6.5x57 20" bbl. would be cool.

Quite a few yr ago I tried to order a Model Seven full stock from the Remington CUSTOM Shop in 358Win. Guess what .... They won't do one in that cartridge. So much for CUSTOM.

.

While not a total classic with the action type and laminated stock, but those Custom Shop Model Seven MS are still very nice rifles.

I like them. I'm not looking to buy any more guns right now nor in the short to medium term future, but if a BSA CF2 in an appropriate calibre showed up with a full stock, I'd be very tempted. Someone here recently was offering a Ruger 77 in a calibre I like with a full stock and if I recall correctly it was new-in-box. I thought it was beautiful, and of all the reasons for not buying it, the only one that really worked on me was that I didn't have the money.

ohh, I was looking at those just this morning!

I was wondering if there was a fullstock that's offered in 300 win mag somewhere? I looked at CZ and Ruger's offering, but none are offered in 300 mag.

I wouldn't mind a falling-block single-shot, but I'd prefer a bolt action.

Mark X

I have Mark X Mauser push feed rifle with the Mannlicher stock in 308 WIN. Elegant rifle with deadly accuracy. Flat bolt handle and carbine lenght barrel is very handy to carry and hunt with. I just pick-up a H&R 157 rifle in 30-30 with the long forend at it is a nice looking rifle. Regards.

Blaser build a beautiful break action rifle in many configurations including a Mannlicher. It's called the K-95 and they are very pretty.

Ruger FS Hawkeye and FS CZ 22's use a plastic muzzle cap, and there are probably others. Why oh why make a nice FS like the CZ 22 and then put a piece of plastic on the end of it? Shameful. Probably some stupid twerp MBA's idea. "It'll save $10!".

Ruger #1 FS is sweet!

H.Dumoulin in 308 Norma.
An absolute joy to carry/hunt with.

That I like:). I have a Schultz & Larsen in that caliber but that one does look good. Also, Dumoulin is a 'maker' Elmer keith made mention of on a number of occasions;).

I did have a Sako full wood model in 338WM I should never have gotten rid of, :redface:but I did.

I kind of like fullstocks...
