The major drawback for American shooters is the price. When I wrote the article back in 1995 the price of a basic rifle was $2800 with many options available. That price has kept it from becoming popular in this country and out of the hands of the average American hunter. The new SIG Blaser R93 has some changes, and the price is now $1495 to $2585. But in terms of sheer innovation, combined with practicality, aesthetics, and functionality, there is no contest; the wood-stocked Blaser R93 is the runaway winner for the bolt-action rifle of the century.
Here's a section from an article I found online.
I think they may become popular if they ever get the exposure they need. I don't know too many people who would buy a replacement barrel and mount that costs as much as a new 700, but the rifle itself would be a wonderful addition to anyones safe.
I don't think that's quite right. If I recall a few years ago when I was looking at the Blasers I think you could buy a synthetic stocked version with one barrel for $1800 or so. I'll try to dig up that spec sheet.

Had a 22F Brno in 7x57 lined up, came with the 1/2 box of shells bought with the gun when brand new. The son of the original purchaser is now waffling after three years of leading me on. Sigh...
We're here for you brother, let it out...![]()

I found this collection of Model 70's on Gunbroker - 40 rifles in all - buy it now price is $165,000.00. Seeing them stacked like they are is a bit out there but very nice nonetheless. For some reason I can't post a pic so the link will have to do.

You could search ww w.greatamericangunstocks.com, they have a listing for mannlicher stocks for various different rifles.
Your link didn't work, so I tried searching for it on google. Apparently, customer satisfaction as at an all time low for that site.
Multiple horror stories.
