I love the look of the full/international stocks on rifles such as in the CZ or the Ruger.

Does the full stock take away from any of the accuracy? What are the pros and cons to a full stock?

Just because I like a full stock would not get one if I am missing out on performance.

Thanks

d.

I recently almost bought a full stocked Ruger. The seller told me that it had no loss in accuracy (for him anyway) in comparison to his regular stocked rifles.

Biggest issue is that they are FUGLY!!:p

Maybe in your eyes! LoL I find them beautiful!

Hell you are the guy that likes the look of synthetic-stocked stainless rifles which goes to show the only taste you have is in your mouth! ;)

They are eye candy for sure.

It'd be very Hemingway to have a Mannlicher-Schunauer in 6.5x55.

Edit: Should have been 6.5x54. I stand corrected by this thread!

I have two Sako's (AIII, & AV) in the full length stock and they are beautiful. Accurate as hell, and because of the slightly shorter barell, a lot easier to handle in the bush, and when you're shooting at running game. I was eyeing a Ruger in .308 at one time but the Sako in .338 came up first.

I don't really like the look of it, but some of it might be the logic that it means you've got a bunch of extra weight.

Fullstocks

I have an Interarms Mark X .308 WIN fullstock with the flat bolt handle and this rifle not only looks killer but it shoots wonderfully. I have also restocked a rebarred sporterized Swede 94 carbine chambered in the 30-06' with an original 96 Mauser stock ending up with a Mannlicher style fullstock the only part left to finish it is the nose cap which I picked up from Brownells. Nice design those Cavalry Fullstock type stocks. Regards
