fulton bolt lapping

Hi

i see i will have to edit and remove the beginning entry to my post...

CC you should read the description i provided with the pic's then you would understand what i have done..

if you cannot read... please get an adult to read the info for you, and break it down into simple words

reading skills take practice !!

In the case above... the fulton bolt was too large to fit in the norc receiver !!!

In an effort to assist guys who take on a bolt lapping project in the future.... If the bolt will not engage the lug recesses of your receiver , source another bolt.
"Some", preferably more than 20% lug engagement should be observed prior to lapping the rear of the lugs to the receiver. Failing to choose a bolt as I've suggested, can and will cause lapping to encroach thru the necessay surface hardness that is essential to maintain.
Proceed at your own risk

the bolt was getting hung up 3/4 of the way down on a very very minor bit of surface irregularity... machining chatter ... it was minor

in this case sourcing another bolt was unnecessary ..as it was easily remedied and the bolt sat in very nicely !

I've edited the beginning as to make this more straight forward

I encourage anyone to buy the kuhnhausen manual and become familiar with the tech inside ... The instructions are straight forward and the spec's are easily understood by anyone with a tech background !

info sourced on the net .... is what it is !

Your an idot!
Who the hell taught you to lap a bolt?
Laz2k???
Well done cause you might as well toss that beauty of a bolt in the trash.
READ STICKIES PEOPLE!
And the only stupid question is the one not asked.
Cause this post is the reason why.
OMG!
Dude I fell for people like TT and 45king.

You sound hysterical. Calm down. We are here to learn and to help one another. Not sure what an "idot" is but calling a fellow Gun-nutter names is not helpful. Go have a beer and enjoy your weekend.
