We are having another Sporting Rifle shoot at Camp Borden on September 23
This shoot is suitable for any rifle you want to shoot at 100, 200 and 300 yards.
We shoot standing at 100, so a 15 pound benchrest rifle with a 36X scope might not be the best choice.
On various occasions I have shot the entire shoot with a SKS, a Lee Enfield, a K-31 and a MN PU Sniper.
You could shoot 100 with one rifle and then shoot 200 and 300 with another. 200 and 300 are shot prone and you can shoot off a rest. A good way to develop some longer range experience with your hunting rifle.
I will be shooting my new SMLE sporter in 308 Brit.
At each distance we start with a short practice session so you can re-zero if required. Then we shoot 10 shots Deliberate, then a Snap shoot (10 exposures of about 4 seconds) then a Mover (target walks about 10 feet.)
Prizes will be won. (Only one prize can be claimed be a shooter. Otherwise some hot shot might take it all.)
