Bluedot and 50gr Hornady VMax bullets make for a cheap and still explosive 223 gopher round that doesnt heat up your barrel like a case full of Varget will
There is a thread somewhere here with tons of load info.
Have you played around with light charges of blue dot ??
Have a few lbs of this left over. Like a nice sub load of 700 fps or less would be great
Why don't you experiment with light loads of Blue Dot, then tell us how it works?
Any fast burning shotgun or pistol powder will work in low charges, for light loads in a rifle, cast bullets preferred.
I used 3.5 gr of tite group on my AR 16" barrel . i got 5 shot around 125 FPS.( with out muzzle-barke)at 50 y with my 308 sniper Mauser I am shooting a wild velocity of 500 fps and a small in plugged ear pop less than 22 lol and .5 Moa groups with mag primers and a heavy load of 5.3 gr of tite group.
For 223 using 3.5 gr of tite group and same hole at 50 yards.
