The wet ones seemed to work fine. The other ones had a bit of dirt on the outside. The ones that I've played with got gunked right up when sand got inside of them.
I wonder how they would hold up to the p-mag truck test. Not that it matters, as mentioned before they are useless as 5 round mags (if it would even be possible to pin them).
Agreed, an answer to a question no-one asked. Stripper clips are much faster. This is only truly useful to someone who doesn't know how to load a mag....I believe that the PWT1 still has a test for mag loading skills??
I have a question. The front of the mag appears to simply slide down? Is there a catch or something you have to squeeze to open it up? If not couldn't you hit the edge of the mag well and have it open up on it's own?
Cudos to the people that dreamt up a pretty neat inovation.
Loading from strippers is fine as long as your ammo starts loaded onto them, and you have a guide. (yes, yes we know you should always have a guide)
I can't count how many times I've opened a can of belted ammo, just to be stripped down for loading into mags, or vise versa, stripper'd or loose ammo into belts.
If it could be made to work reliably, it would be a valuable option to strippers, imho.
