funny ejection from my norc m14

A while back i got bored and curious and disassemble my bolt, which caused the ejector to fly out into narnia some where. I replaced it with a Springfield armory ejector. Ever since then the casing have been ejecting in random directions (i got hit a few times ). With the norinco ejector the shells would eject forward 3-5 feet in the 2, 3 o clock direction and it was consistent.

I haven't got any FTE or anything but its just kinda weird and annoying . Any one got the same problem? any cures ? May be I installed the ejector backwards ?

Yeah, something's not right.

Keep looking, compare what your bolt face looks like to others; pay attention to the little details; IIRC, there is a machined shape to the end of the extractor, yours might be misaligned?

Sounds to me like yer on the right track tho'

i had a case bounce of a post and come back and hit me in the head when shoot and roll down my back hot brass was not fun lol

First centerfire round of ammunition I EVER fired, from a Colt SP1, did that to me. Fun times.
