Funny Rig for LEO

I've seen guys show up at the range with bigger kits than him to shoot paper at 25 yards and applaud themselves on the "tac" driver they are shooting..

That "LEO" is obviously content with his set up and I have a funny feeling that wasn't his first Rodeo..

Better lookin at it, than for it I always say.
 
Looked fine to me. Few mags, gerber, t1 and a light, seems fine.

I'm not a cop, don't know what their needs are, but I know what overloaded is, and that is not it.

No one is telling you that you do not have the right to say what you are saying.

You are being told that what you are saying is making you look foolish.

I did not call people idiots for posting in this thread. I did say that this thread contains some of the better stupidity I've seen around here recently and I don't see any reason to change that comment.

As for my experience I think I have been fairly clear that it is that of a civilian using gear to improve my shooting, which has taught me some things. I make no claim to special knowledge of the requirements of LE in active shooter situations, which is exactly why I did not critique his vest, and I think I said so in my first post. I don't feel it's my place to comment, because I have seen situations in which my preference for gear would not be appropriate because the situation or the organizational rules dictate otherwise.

Knowing that situations like this exist, I would generally recommend to others that they not spout off to hard about how things should be done, as they may not know the specific needs of the shooters they are critiquing.

Giving that advice doesn't require any special shooting experience. It requires life experience.

I think that's one of the big problems with CGN, is that a large number of people think this way.

Then they voice their opinions on situations and try to argue with guys who have actually been there and done that. You know, guys who actually face shoot bad guys for a living, or treat those who get injured from IED's, or protect innocent people day in and day out.

There are (were) a number of extremely knowledgable people on this forum who would love to share, but why bother when they have to argue with people who get their knowledge from movies.
