Go to SOCNET , Sniper section . 9 spotters before the first hit . 1 hit , 2 misses and then 2 hits . His spotter had to go way high above him to spot impacts and adjust fire . The initial report was somewhat true in that the spotter told the journalists that it was a first shot hit after 9 spotters and when the journalist wrote the story he wrote , one shot hit , but left out the 9 spotter shots . The actual interviews and articles are posted on SOCNET , Sniper section with a lot of commentary from active duty and retired snipers . Bottom line , good shooting and 3 less hajis to worry about . I believe Furlong used 2 spotter shots before the first hit but records are set by distance , not spotter shots . Of course there was an element of luck but i wouldn't stand at that distance while he fired at me because this guy is f*cking good .
