Hi guys, I may have a line on a sporter lee enfield, but I havent made the purchase. It isn't matching. Out of curiosity I went online to find furniture and I have come across a butt stock. Forgive my ignorance as I am relatively new to milsurps. Do companies not mass produce wood for these things? I sort of assumed that they would, but I am having a heck of a time finding any online. Does anyone know where to get a line on a full set? Thanks for any help

Decent wood is hard to find these days and pricey. Mostly it is the lower fore wood that is difficult. Butt stocks are easy.

Unless you have something special and matching I would not think it worthwhile to restore.

I find it easier to source no4mk1 wood then no1mk3. There has been talks of reproduction stocks but nothing mass scale. I've only seen one offs which makes them just as expensive as non issued funiture. The UK has a bunch of unissued funiture but they are pretty expensive and perhaps not worth the investment. The is a CGN member on here from the Yukon that from time to time sell full stock kits, parts and complete rifles. His specialty is the no4 mk1. Watch for his posts

I got a set from Numrich in the States a few years back. Price wasn’t too bad, if I recall, but I’m sure they have gone up since...

No 4 wood is not that uncommon, you should get a nice set for around $300.00.
Add to that the price for a good sporter ~ $250.00, and you'll realize it is not really worth it, considering you will end up with a mix-master rifle.

Agreed...a mixmaster bitster.

It's that much worse for a Long Branch...LB wood is pretty hard to find anymore.
