Recently acquired a clamp-on St. Marie scope base from Diopter (great gentleman with whom to do business!). Used Millett steel rings to mount an old steel Weaver K10 scope. I like these rings - the clamping system gives you a bit of lateral adjustment. The right offset is no problem at all. After about 20 rounds, a slight zero shift was noted, and the clamp was tightened. Obviously had to settle in under recoil. The ammunition was assembled using FL sized Win. .284 brass, measured 43gr IMR4895, Nosler 150gr. BT cosmetic seconds. Fire forming loads. When I did my part, 5 shot groups were moa. This K-31 is the most accurate service rifle I have shot, although my II** Ross civilian target rifle is pretty close; whether this is actually a service rifle though was disputed close to 100 years ago.

SSSSh............

.... Word might get around and then prices will rocket up..........;)

We have to say things like "What's that crazy ring thingingamabob hanging on the end of the bolt???????", to hide how good these rifles really are.
