Future black badge courses?

I won't be able to go for awhile as I am just working on joining my local club.

If I am not mistaken black badge allows you to use a holster with your pistol at most ranges and shooting events/competitions?

This is a must for 3-Gun no? (SHOULD be anyways)
I just finished reading about this stuff today, 3 gun was what I was interested in, and IPDA. Are there any groups near me (lower mainland) that I should get involved with or know about?

Can I see a practice or event without being a competitor?

Should someone point me to a sticky right about now?
 
In Fort McMurray you can go to ipsc practice sessions to practice for your course, but its not really needed.

And not sure about allowing you to use a holster. You should be able to use one without a black badge at a range, but its a good idea for safety.

But for competitions... Not 100% sure about getting a black badge for 3 gun, isn't that only for IPSC?
 
Check TMSA. I believe they also have BB courses.

Murray Gardner also does BB. I think he holds his courses either in Poco or TMSA.

I'm also thinking of doing this myself.
