The CBSA fees are not new, they have always been there... the single handling charge used to be $5 per package, then it went to $10 about a year and a half ago... it was never $7... and if you pay the handling fee you will also be paying tax on any item over $30 Can. Some parcels get through without being levied, but some do not... it is a crap shoot, but since they are ALL supposed to be levied, it is pretty hard to complain. I have found with Boyd's, about two out of three arrive without border fees.
OP... do yourself a favor and just order the Boyd's... I have never been unhappy with their products (I have ordered more than 50 stocks from Boyd's... their shipping is high but the cost to you ends up around $180 CAN to your door... you won't do better than that.
