FW: Bosnian Full-Auto SKS

interesting.
I wonder what years these were being made.
Interesting they had to alter the mags and didn't consider the ak47 type mag release mod like the SKS-D
The bolt and receiver modifications are pretty much the same
Be interesting to view the complete mechanisms these rifles were fitted with. Wonder if shop drawings exist on the web somewhere

I hope 1969.......

I wonder if it was different trigger group that it originally had, and they replaced it with an original one during the refurb process when they stripped the rest of the peices off

No he clearly states in the video they ran modified ak mags to fit the original trigger group

I am talking about the missing full auto conversion pieces, did they work with the original SKS trigger group or were there modified trigger groups that were replaced with stock ones during the refurb process before being exported and sold to the civvie market

It was stated that the selective trigger groups were removed prior to export and replaced with standard ones.

I remember seeing books at gun shows in the 90's which showed how to make SKS trigger groups into FA. Another was a how to mix fertilizer/fuel explosives for making dugouts. Were not high quality printings, and were always accompanied with FYI only warnings. Very much pre internet and 9/11 obviously.

Palladin Press/Loompanics

Lots of books and drawings available for full auto 10-22's, Mini 14's etc

I had those Palladin books, it was all pretty sketchy ####- thats why they always stated "For Information Purposes Only"
The full auto SKS conversion was basically a slamfire conversion to the trigger group

I had a book like this and "For Information Purposes Only" was printed on every page.

They are all available for free online, all kinds of neat books on there aside from the sketchy stuff

So what sort of list is a guy on if he downloads that?
You can read anything there without downloading. Some sketchy stuff for sure, I like having all my fingers and use of eyes so not interested in that in anyway. Tons of cool reads on there though. Trappers bible, books by Jeff cooper, many how to pick a lock, LEGAL gunsmithing, small game hunting and best of all, secrets of the ninja! Hwaaachaaaaa spinning back kick!

the chinese would have been the first to make full auto SKS guns SKS D model

interesting
I thought the D models were only made for the US civi market but it seems this may not be the case and the civi D models may have thier roots elsewhere?
I would be curious to know the historical information on when rifles like these were produced and by whom.
There is literature out there on questionable alterations by questionable "experts" on the sks trigger group but these are highly illegal modifications that permanently alter the parts and the resulting function is totally insafe and unpredictable. These select fire sks-d factory rifles though, that's pretty cool and I didn't know such rifles existed.
