Palladin Press. My goodness, that brings back some memories. Probably some of the most interesting titled books - great conversation starters. I remember when I was married I used to have some of these on my coffee table at home..."How To Hide Anything"... "Cheap Shots, Ambushes and Other Lessons"..."Knives Knifefighting and Related Hassles". I put these out more as a gag for when we had people over and they were good conversation starters. Maybe that's why I'm divorced now...lol...

I think most of those books are probably selling for a premium now. I wouldn't necessarily ascribe these to a classic literary must-have collection, but the information was nonetheless interesting..

Paladin also published almost all of Peter Senich's book on snipers/sniping. If you can find them they are awesome resources.

Thanks for the heads up. I do have and enjoyed the Gabriel Suarez books from Paladin (Tactical Rifle and Tactical Shotgun or something like that). Some of the more serious titles...

Gun books really are hit and miss. There are some good ones out there and a lot of mediocre ones. I will look for the Senich books in my travels thanks for the tip.

Thanks...unfortunately I just cannot do online books. I severely take notes, highlight and such in all my books (and no, using online tools does not cut it for me). All my books are physical (I have about 6000 physical books that I own as I pretty much spend my spare time reading).

I guess for out of print items it may have some value but I can find these on the secondary market at various used book places. But for some of them as far as I know, they were still selling them at various outlets including Amazon. That said for $16.99 it is a good value.
 
what happened to the ATF rule, once a machine gun always a machine gun????
Just because there are not parts available, its an SKS
bet someone could fine the parts, because they just did not 1 or 2

Loompanics had a periodical they used to send out quarterly as I recall. There were quite interesting articles therein, all from a US libertarian angle.They had an interesting write up on the Spanish American War intervention in the Phillipines. A time of brutality.

Loompanics. After the Oklahoma City Bombing they filletted their offerings. Unsurprisingly they quickly lost their market share, and packed it in.

Ian explains in detail in the video why the "once a machinegun always a machinegun" policy did not apply with respect to these Bosnian SKS rifles.
 
I never seen any reliable info on what the parts looked like. What with the Dayton Accords and the various treaties concluding the Yugoslavian Wars, I doubt that info will ever come to light to the general public. Just the issue of the surplus 'war grenades' was a huge deal. There was once a stellar website, lexpev that told the story of them, by a Dutch man who clearly was a ranking military EOD engineer.
