The Stirling was not overly accurate, Spray and pray design but a ton of fun. The mag location worked great for us Lefties as a handle!

i recall walking with a sterling among the "coffins" in chilliwack range, not knowing which of the coffin a fiberglass figure would pop up.

bang... bang... bang... the figures automatically falls back down after being hit. that was fun.

That's insane. I have heard a lot about CF infantry training and not much of it was positive. The pistol training they get is next to non existent from what I have gathered.

Pistol training is not done at inf dp1 anymore, it's when your unit feels like doing it.

I was lucky enough to shoot the hi power at our IBTS and i'm not even inf, i'm a gunner...

I mean our land course got neutered so we really only learn C9 now.

Apaprently M72/CG/Grenades and pistol is not important to know for combat arms.

BS. I did a couple of firepower demos for recruits with the C1 smg and I could easily hit a box lunch at 100m on repetition. I own a sterling police carbine and it easily hjts within the 5 1/2 bull from the sterling manual.
