It's a bit confusing but what he is calling Canadian magazines are magazines designed for places like California and also as unluck would have it Canada.

The factory 10 round magazines are not neutered standard magazines but are in fact different and that difference is notable in the way the follower tilts and does not engage the hold open mechanism with enough strength.

In the video the Wolverine crew refers to them as "single stack" magazines and it appears they are as there is no need for double stack when you only want 10 rounds max.

Thanks for the reply, that makes sense. So legit US factory glock mags actually pinned is our best bet I guess. I have nothing that runs glock mags so I'll likely just wait to see what works best anyways.

Already bought some new parts for it,

17" UTG Keymod hand guard
Fortis 9mm 3 chamber brake
Hogue grip and butt stock
Timney Trigger
Seekins Precision trigger guard

Freedom ordinance says you shouldnt mess with the trigger.....

I would suggest that since it is not actually an AR-15 I would hold off on buying a bunch of parts for them until you have one in your hands to see what will fit and what won't. Hate to buy a bunch of stuff and find out a few months later it won't fit.
Just a thought, do what you want.

I contacted Freedom Ordnance the handguard they use is a UTG, the exact same one I have except longer and some people have been using the Timneys in them and have had no problems. I'll keep the old one that comes out of the rifle just in case it doesn't work as they suggested

question.
will the new tariffs on aluminium and steel effect the future price in this and other firearms coming in?
this is assuming that the first batch of imports will not be.
thanks

I think September has been tossed around.

It’s a new release. ITAR on the us side, Canada customs on ours, and the manufacturer all will contribute to the delayed arrival.

Adam,
Good morning. We always use Tulammo steel case and have never had an issue with it after over 10,000 rds put through our sample model. As for the aluminum, Because our bolt is compact and lighter, it unlocks faster and the aluminum casing tensile strength cannot withstand the high pressure as much as the steel and brass can and this has caused a few casings to split inside the chamber. This doesn’t happen with ALL aluminum but it is more likely to happen with aluminum than with steel and brass, so we just do not recommend aluminum. We use Tulamma and Magtech all the time for testing and have never had an issue with the casings. I hope this helps. Thank you for contacting us and have a good day.

I posted this in the other fx-9 thread but since this has more people i'm cutting and pasting:

so I just got voicemail from Wolverine with an update. The VM says they are now expecting shipments in October.....which i'm OK with.

The other piece of news is that due to 'increased costs' ie tariffs, material costs, exchange rate, etc the price is going up to $1049 (+$150 over previous quoted price). Pre-order people are being given the option of backing out. I have to think hard about whether I want it bad enough to warrant the price increase.

Got that call not long ago, still a good price as far as I'm concerned. Cheaper then beretta, kriss and about the same as the jr carbine/tnw.

Only thing thats cheaper would be a sub 2000 that I can think of.
