FX Gladiator. 25

Very nice, how do you fill it and have you tried other pellets yet.

I have a 120 CFM Faber Steel @ 3,300 psi full and a Ninja Scuba adaptor. From 110 bar to "full" on a fresh tank got me to 190 bar, second fill 180 bar, third fill near 180 bar, fourth fill 170 bar.. That's all I know so far. I also have a Hill hand pump but for this big a tank .. No thanks to using it.

Only have the JSB 25.4 so far might try out the FX and Air Arms, I have found JSB 16g to be the best pellet in my .22's for accuracy and take down in small game.

Interesting rifle and nice shooting. I've wanted something a bit harder hitting than my .22 HW100T and .25 seems to be a good option. You're going to have to get a 4500psi tank to make this a viable shooter. I've got a tank and shoebox to make this a bit easier. Getting air into a PCP is more expensive than the darn rifle.

How do you like the shoebox compressor, had it for a long time?

I've also looked at a DIN adaptor and higher pressure tank or just outright buying an Omega Compressor.

I have one of the second gen shoeboxes. Seal replacement is easy. I wouldn't recommend filling a big tank with it. (I have re-filled my 3000 psi scuba tank, but it takes a long time and is hard on the little guy). Filling the small tanks on the airguns is easy for the shoebox though. Stop it every 10 minutes or so and add grease to the cylinder shafts, and away you go until filled.

You can purchase the Omega compressors from AirgunSource, but that is a lot of money just for shooting. IMO. Think my shoebox was around $650 delivered when I ordered it. Not sure what they go for now.

I haven't been shooting my HW as much as I would like to, so I haven't filled the tank much. I have the second gen Shoebox as well and it works great. I did the initial fill on the empty tank, it took 7 hours IIRC. I've topped it up a few times when it dropped down to about 3500 and that only took 90 minutes I think. I leave the cover off when I'm filling and apply grease to the shafts at the recommended intervals. I think a smaller tank would have suited me better based on the amount I shoot per session.

Thanks for the shoebox comments, I am in this deep now. I think I might spring for the omega.

Beauty of a morning winds "gusting" to 2/3 mph. Shot from the Caldwell lead sled Vortex FFP @ 24x @ 50M I saw only one pellet wobble that I can blame #1 on far right set, and always appreciate offers for coffee #7 far left set... #1 upper left is dropping back in on target..and now back to work
