I don't have an Impact, but I did get to put a few shots through one in the fall. My first impression was of something built like a brick s**thouse. Absolutely rock solid, with a kind of compact density I did not expect, though I've admired the design of the Impact since first news of the model came out. Operation was extremely smooth and easy. The gun was not set up the way I would have it, the scope a bit high and too high a zoom level, the stock and cheekpiece not quite dimensionally correct for me (as the owner is several inches shorter with shorter arms), but it wouldn't take much tweaking to make it suit me perfectly. I was very impressed.
But then he pulled out his Edgun Leshiy and let me try that... and DAMN! What I said about the Impact, in spades. The Leshiy is built like a little hammer, or maybe more like one of those ultra-efficient rock climbing axes. Not a spare gram on it, but densely made and very smooth to operate. I've seen a couple of reviews where users had apparent difficulty breaking open the action for loading/cocking, but I found this easy right from the first try, just bending it open between my hands. No bending across a knee or striking it on the stock required. And startlingly accurate! I took 4 shots in all, with the thing apparently running at about 28fpe, and I stood and shot offhand at a 3" steel plate 50 metres away. Hit it 3 times out of 4 and the miss was due to me getting too excited and forgetting to squeeze the rather long trigger pull smoothly enough. That's one thing I'd change. And apparently there are easy things one can do to modify the Leshiy trigger such that it has a very short pull and much crisper trigger break, which is what I prefer. Considering that this again was a completely unfamiliar setup, again with more scope zoom than I prefer, I found it as easy to hit a target was with my own customized QB78D. And since the Leshiy weighs a lot less than an Impact and when folded is about 1/2 the size or less, I'd have to cast my vote for the smaller rifle on grounds of overall practicality. If I get one it'll be tuned for about 15fpe, all I really need for squirrels.
