FX M4

So far I have only shot the Hades (15.89), Jumbo heavy diabolo (18.13) and Jumbo exact monsters (25.4). Rifle seems to like the Hades and Diabolos. Going out this afternoon to try some slugs H&N .217 and .218 dia. Slug weights are 21g, 23g, 25g, 27g and 30g. Still just shooting at factory settings. Just bought the FX Digital Chronograph to see what I'm getting for velocities.

well the chronograph works great, it links up with an Iphone app and announce velocity for each shot. As far as the slugs go this rifle definitely does not like them so it looks like i'll have to order a slug barrel if I want to continue using them.

Pellets vs slugs... what distance?
Everybody with a new tech air rifle want to try shooting slugs. It is an exotic topic on airgun forums.
Spent a lot of effort for tuning, money and elbow greasing, and sooner or later most of people gets back to pellets.
I've been there to ;) over a - dedicated - year and a half I shot many thousand slugs.
I am not a hunter, I am shooting rings only and precision is in my focus.
For rings up to 80 meters the .22 pellets outperform the slugs. 100 meters for .25 pellets and 140 meters for .30 pellets.
Talking .22 cal now.
For longer distances you need a high power stroke for heavier = longer slugs.
May happen the length won't fir the mag and must go single load.

Well hopefully you made it home!! I’m staying tuned.šŸ˜Ž
Sorry for the delay as I was out of the country and forgot to respond prior to leaving.
My settings are as follows
I run the tank at 225bar or just a bit higher
Reg 1 is set at 160bar
