FYI: Hornady warranty on dies

Hi All,

I just wanna share my pleasant experience with Hornady.

The other day I had seating die come apart on me during reloading session; turned out retaining spring came off and got lost, I couldn't find it. The die was bought over 3 years ago as part of their New Dimension 3-die set.

I sent an email to Hornady and they sent me a whole new die along with extra retaining spring and hex key. All for free.

I'm very happy with the experience as the dies are not covered by lifetime warranty.

Hornady is a great company to deal with. No questions asked warranty. I have had several pleasant dealings with their technical staff and warranty people. Three thumbs up!

Same experience here. I had to use their warranty service twice. First one was my fault: I used the .45 dies for the 1st time, and failed to see that the decapping pin was loose, causing the decapping rod to bend out of shape. Second time was when I took delivery of the bullet feeder, and all 3 drop funnel tubes were missing.

Got my replacements in 10 days both times. Great service, indeed!

LOL this is funny: I am Hornady's only customer in my postal code area. When I give them my postal - they tell me my name. Makes me feel kinda special.

They replaced a decap pin for me at least 10 years after the dies were purchased. Excellent company to deal with.
