FYI - New Ruger American Rifle Predator announced

An M77 Ranch style in 7.62X39 would sell like hotcakes... I'd buy one in 7X57 even if the long action cartridge flys in the face if the "Ranch" idea.

Just ordered one .223 at P&D and found out after from chuck hakws....
What do you think?

Until that point I've read only good things about the American. Gunblast got 5/8" 5 shots groups from the Predator in .223. Plus it is available in 6.5 Creedmoor, which is almost as nice as if it was available in .260 Rem.

A couple of my hunting buddies have the standard Ruger American in .243 and they have been getting great groups with them. Kind of surprising that the Predator version wouldn't be good as well? Maybe they are still working out the kinks in these early ones off the assembly line?
