In the near future I am going to have a chance to get my hands on a G-43 rifle. In good or very good condition. I just do not know what the value of this rifle would be, if anybody would be willing to tell me I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks,
Zygy

I am no expert but these are relatively rare so they are worth money, around $2000 in the US. Please post photos and marking of the rifle and I sure you will get more information.

$10,000 sounds quite high to me.

All the G-43's I've ever seen, and granted that that amounts to a total of two, have sold in the $1,500-$2,000 range. Unfortunatly I can't remember exact prices, but it was in that area.

In either case, you're a lucky one to be able to get one. I've been searching for one for a few years now. :(

I'm no expert either, but $2,000 sounds quite low. I've heard of G43's going for almost $10,000.

G/K43's have sold for considerably less than $10k on the EE here. IIRC, I've seen them for $1500-3500ish.

- In Canada G/Kar43 around $1500.00 to $2000.00 CDN, in the USA Around $3000.00 USD.

- G-41 in the USA around $6,000.00 to $10,000.00 USD, I have not seen one in Canada in quite a while.

Matching serial numbers versus non matching and rifle condition are big factors for price too. I would say start at $1500 for a non matching VoPo rework up to $2500 for a matching example in VG condition. Add optics or mounts and it goes up from there.
I got the one Sigismund was talking about for $1850 in the EE forums with a repro mount and Russian PU scope. Great rifles but if you plan to shoot yours make sure you visit this site ( http://apfeltor.com/ ) and get a Shooter's Kit. The G43 gas system is not adjustable and overpowered so the action is prone to damage. The Shooter's kit limits the amount of gas that operates the piston. Considering parts are outrageously priced, it is a wise investment. Don't forget to visit the G43 forum as well, tons of great info and help there.

I just bought one for $650... no sling or rod but everything else is matching and the bore is very nice. As far as I'm concerned that's the going rate.

 im speechless, you just bought a all matching g43, missing a few parts for 650... :( well done.

saw one last week-end at the Longueuil gunshow. Very nice and, mind you, with the original scope and scope mount.
Scope had no optical coating; looked like the genuine item...
Never bothered to ask for price; I just smiled at the rifle and let out a big sigh.
His owner burst in laughter. :)

Anytime you want to get your $650 out of that rifle, I would be more than willing to oblige... :D ;)

That is an outstanding deal, great work....
