The glock 17 I'm interested in buying is selling for $700.00 plus tax, that seems a little steep for me, am I being ripped off or is that a fair price for a glock?
Also wondering on the practicality of having night sights installed on the gun, isn't it illegal to shoot at night time anyways? Is there some use in having them?
Thanks for your input guys!

Not a great price. I paid less than 7 for mine shipped, taxed, Trij night sites and 3 mags.... Look into Police Ordnance or Sportque.

I'll PM you.

And unless you live in Alberta, order from another province to avoid provincial sales tax- it's usually still cheaper to pay shipping than the tax.

Its fine, oddly, you can mail guns with no issues and they arrive, just need a signature. For all the restrictions and hassles with licenses and ATTs its kind of funny to just get a working gun mailed right to your door.

Note, you will need a range membership if you haven't got one because that will be required to be sent in with the LTATT paperwork to the province so they can issue you one, and they won't approve the transfer from the dealer to you until you have it. The dealer can charge you for the gun, but they can't send it to you until the province gives them the OK for the transfer.

Not in ON, you just have to tell them you are going to join such and such club. You can at least fondle it evey night until you club ATT comes in.

You'll wish you had night sights when the zombies come and cut the power to your house!

LOL THIS ^

Well that sounds more desirable given that I was required to be a club member and to have applied for an LTATT before they would OK the transfer, which was from a shop in AB to a residence in BC.

On the upside my LTATT was NO-BS. I applied, it came in the mail in like 5 days, and had no unexpected BS restrictions. Its good for 5 years at any time of day or night to all ranges, gunsmiths and border crossings in BC and Yukon. AFAIK this is about as good as you can hope to get. I have heard of applicants in ON and QC getting shafted with very limited LTATTs.
