I bought a glock 17 as my first.

CZ75 SP01 Shadowline came after a few pistols but i went back to glock.

I bought a glock 17 only because i got it for only 550 new. Otherwise I personally would go with a cz shadow. Very nice feel and trigger to them. Best thing to do in your case. Buy both plus a 22 You will get them all one day either way. Why not all in one day?

I think either one is a great first, I think they are different and there are pros and cons for each one.
I think you'll know once you have sot both for a while.

bottom line, get both.

The CZ is much better looking ( in my eyes anyways) and is a fantastic pistol. All metal mmmmmmmmm.

as was mentioned, you should hold both and if you have opportunity, shoot both (check our local ranges for rental options?).
