Taking BB course shortly. I'm a lefty shooting a Glock 17. Any suggestions on holster, mag pouches, belt, etc? I'm currently running a Fobus holster with Fobus mag pouch which will do fine for the BB course, but I am interested in hearing what works better, etc for competing.....

Freedon Ventures for the belt and pouches and contact Jeff Smith at Valleygunsmithing for the holster.

I know he has that (but it's the Serpa with the lock) as I was looking at it yesterday - it was packaged wrong.

Lefty shooting a G17 here...
Pass on the Serpa and go with a Bladetech Dropped offset.
For pouches I use a combo of one double Bladetech and a couple of CR speed, but you'd be fine to start with two double Bladetech pouches.
I also use a CR Speed belt, but mostly because I'm lazy. I used a riggers belt for a year and a half, and they work just fine. The CR speed belt will bring the gun and mags another 1/4" - 3/8" out further from you body -this may matter if you are lugging a spare tire...
I'd recommend ditching the Fobus crap before the BB, and learning with stuff you'll use.

Your fobus is fine for the black badge course. Practice drawing and dryfiring it. There are drills on matt burnett. com that will give you practice responding to the beep. Same deal with mag pouches. Once you are able to draw and fire in a second well then it might be time to upgrade.

This dude has it right. Bladetech and CR. Best production combo.

pft, blow some cash, Guga Ribas all the way. Don't listen to Bartledan, he doesn't even shoot anymore..... :p

Any Canadian dealers for Guga Ribas?

CRAFM (see banner at top) carries Guga

They also carry the Speedsec 5CW...which in my personal opinion is a better holster for the Glock.

CR and Bladetech would also be worth looking at. (and all of the above avaialble at one or more of the site sponsors listed at the top)

Just starting out I would get Uncle Mike's Kydex. Its actually a pretty decent holster/mag pouches at a good price. Plus if you was to shoot USPSA its legal for that too. Don't cheap out on the belt though. CR all the way. IMHO
