G17 mistake, pls help!

I was dry firing my glock 17 and also field stripped it as per the manual once the op part was off I accidentally preSsed the trigger, panicked and put it back together and now it doesn't close all the way. Don't know what to do, pls help with some advice,I am a newbie
 
Flip the slid upside down and push the thingy bar one way or the other... Back towards the rear of the slide if I recall correctly... Then push the little bottom thingy.... Assemble.

Your recoil rod/spring assembly looks "gimped" ...I haven't seen Glock's new spring system, but I'm going to guess it is in backwards.
 
After reading and reading here in the forums, I found out that I could dry fire my glock in order to get used to it and the trigger, so after 10 minutes decided to check the manual and started to strip it, thats when I accidentally press the trigger and then got a bit nervous cause you are not supposed to do that and put the slide back again with just enough force to lock it in place, but it did not go all the way in and is stuck in that position.
I will try anything you guys can suggest to tru to take the slide out and fix my brand new gun which I haven't even fired. Man, I shouldn't have played with it.
 
The slide should take almost no force to put back into position... and the trigger has to be pressed to even begin to break it down... so... try to get the slide back off... or play it safe, and go to the gun store. You'll look like an idiot, but it's better than damaging your new toy.

By the way, I hope you removed the magazine when you broke it down...
 
If you are not too far from a gun shop where they sell G17s or so, go there and ask them to show you how to take it apart and to put it all back together. If your ATT allows trips to gun shops (many have smiths on the floor) or/and gunsmiths, call ahead and tell them you'd like to bring it over to check it out. Follow transport regs.
 
Just take it apart and put it back together (if it's possible to pull the trigger and release the slide). I've seen this before and it's no problem to fix.
 
I will make a video of it, is kinda hard to explain. that way you guys can see the whole thing. As for taking it to a gunsmith i could talk to CFO to give me a STT, I just applied to a club and doing my safety course next Saturday. Thks for all the replies.
