i paid 1700$ for a brand new G29 with 4 restricted barrel (2x Bar-Sto 10mm, 357sig and 9x23). I've seen G19s going for 1000$ and these were 2nd generation, with 1000+ rounds. It's actually a better deal to import a new one with barrel but most people want to take the easy route which is buying domestic and just swapping the barrel at their gunshop.
