G26 mags are already 10 rounds, but you can add +1 extensions to G27 mags.

Sorry, you're right. It's the G27 that is only 9 rounds. My bad.

If you run the finger tab floor plates you might as well buy a G19. There is no need for such gimmicks. The G26 with flush fit magazines is more than controllable.

Not a "gimmick" at all. For anyone with even moderately large hands, being able to put all four fingers on the grip as opposed to only three has to improve the handling characteristics. I've tried it both ways - the extended floor plates are a HUGE improvement.
