Bought a new Glock 20 recently and the thing keeps jamming on me. Empty casings fail to eject properly. Most of the time they get stuck somewhere in the ejection port. I also noticed that after the empty casing is cleared, the next round is harder to chamber, sometimes requiring to "tap" the slide to lock it fully.

It fails to eject about once per 15 rounds fired, on averege.

Im using handloads. Tried two different loads:
1F - 2F FC Brass, CCI primer.
9.0gr Blue Dot with 200gr Frontier TMJ,
9.7gr Blue Dot with 175gr AIM TMJ.

Any suggestions on what could be causing the problem?
Thanks!

By 2 boxes of retail ammo (100rnds) if you don't have any issues, it's your reloads.

post back with results :)

Only powder I had problems with was Blue Dot. It didn't measure right resulting in underloaded ammo. So make sure you weigh the charge and it is what powder measurer says it should be. Also if the slide isn't closing (out of battery) your OAL length might be too long.

I can guarantee that this is NOT due to limpwristing.

I was using a "powder dipper" to measure powder, not a powder measure. All charges were +/- 0.2 grains of 9.0 (for the 200gr bullets). Even 8.8gr is well above the recommended starting load for this bullet and powder (8.0gr), so i dont think that undercharge is the cause.

I'll try factory ammo if i run out of options. Factory 10mm sells for $1 per round here.

If the brass is extracting from the chamber, and the issue is more of a "failure to eject - or erratic ejection", it may be a damaged or broken ejector, which would entail the replacement of the trigger mechanism housing - ejector is molded in...

Or underpowered ammo / dirty chamber / lack of lubrication / dirty gun, or as others have suggested - shooting with an unlocked wrist...

I'll add another to the mix, if you're using handloads - perhaps the re-size is a little larger than factory new brass - add that to a not 100% clean chamber, and things might bind up on the extract-eject side of things... as well as it being difficult to reload the pistol after a clearing procedure...

Give it a good cleaning - paying particular attention to the chamber area, and under the extractor claw... and throw a box of factory through it...

Good luck with the gun - the G20 is the next one I'm trying to pick up for my collection, but I'm looking for the original gen1/2....

Cheers
