I recently purchased a 10MM Lone Wolf extended ported barrel from a fellow CGNer. I had bought a Glock Docter Optik mount when I bought the sight but had never used it. So I mounted and decided to see what I could squeeze out in terms of accuracy from the G20 using a longer barrel and fine resolution (3.5 MOA) sight.
The setup works pretty well but in my opinion the sight sits too high above the slide. This means when you bring the gun up you have to do a bit of searching for the dot (bring the muzzle down). Things could improve with practise but I like the idea of dovetailing the sight into the slide so the red dot sits at the same height as iron sights would. Lone Wolf used to make slides set up like this but I don't think they do anymore.
Also pre-range trips to Tim Hortons using this set up are a no-no. Unsupported that little dot jumps around quite a bit and you have to have steady hand.
The verdict is good accuracy and good speed to target once you have practised a bit. All in all I think for general duties high vis iron sights are still the way to go for me.
Anyway here are the results of 15 rounds fired from 3, 5 round magazines at 20M standing at a slow rate of fire.
