Since my open div gun is a bit of a hassle right now I have been considering jumping into the production div with one of my 45.
Since I was comparing both I tought I could share some with the guys looking into either of these pistols.

G21SF
What has not been said about the Glock? The G21 along the G20 are the largest framed of the Glocks and probably the heaviest (set aside the long slides). The SF models are issued with ambidextrous mag releases and this is about as ambidextrous as it gets. I am lefty, but still prefer activating the mag release with trigger finger. For some grip is boxy but now, with the FNP 45 in the other hand, I realize it is not all that boxy! It comes issued with plastic sights, 2 mags and a mag holder in classic glock carry case. Got it from Wolverine

FNP45
The new kido on the block, fully ambidextrous controls. As mentioned the grip is boxier than the glock with the standard back strap. The other backstrap provides a bit better feeling but it makes the trigger too far for me. It cost me 75$ more than the G21SF to get this bad boy which is probably explained by the better sights, better mags and the ambidextrous controls. For this one (remember I’m lefty) I prefer using the thumb to release the mag and activate the decocker and trigger finger to release the slide. This is the basic models which only has a decocker, a manual thumb safety on the decocking lever is available on other models. Other options also including extended threaded barrel, slide machined to accept red dots such as RMR, fastfire, STS. Comes with 3 mags (mine came with 1 factory 10 and 2 pinned 14) and 2 backstraps in this bigger than necessary case. Got it from ArmsEast

Comparison
Here is a little chart showing relevant (to me) specs and comparisons. Upon hosting I wasn't satisfied with the size but meh, I think it is still readable

A Rounded up average grip length calculated in between finger groves. (X1=2,09’’, X2=2,15’’, X3=2,25’’)
B According to Glock
C According to FN USA
D Will not fit CRSpeed's G model either

Top: FNP45 Barrel with metal guide rod
Bottom: G21 barrel with plastic guide rod

In the end I would say you cannot really go wrong with either gun, the FNP45 was made to be in the same league as the G21SF and XD45 and I think it delivers. For me, I am still debating which one I will use for production, in either case I need a new holster and more mags. Would I rather have a heavy trigger pull first shot and a sweet sweet trigger for the rest of the stage or just a good tirgger all around? Would I pick the FNP45 because of the ease of access to the mag release? I have not trained enough with either pistol to decide, so if I had to pick today I would go with the FNP45 strickly cause I have a 10mm conversion barrel coming for the Glock
