Greetings All,

I know this should probably be posted in "Reloading", but it is "Action Shooting" related.

I am looking for a guideline for loading 180 grain (Montana Golds) with Titegroup.

Looking for a nice MINOR load for IPSC production with a Glock G22.

All help appreciated.

Hey HB......did you ever try any VihtaVouri powders with 180 or 200 gr bullet such as N310 or N320 and if so what was the load/outcome ??

You may want to bring the OAL down to 1.12 - 1.125. Some of us were having the odd feeding problem in our g22's at longer OAL's. I doubt it will make a significant differance, if any at all in your PF.

Keeping my OAL a bit long only because I shoot a Para Ord P16 40 in standard class and my sister will be shooting the Glock in Production. My Para likes the longer length, was as long as 1.170" and it grouped very well.

Will be loading on the same Dillon press for both guns, so reduced to 1.145": so far no feeding malfuctions with either gun, groups are good. Just had to reduce the power of the recoil spring in the glock to 12 pounds for proper ejection.

All looks good for the 2006 IPSC season, will know more after further range test tomorrow..................

I get about a 135 PF with my loads as well. At those velocities, the shorter length isn't a big deal (not a high pressure load) and it feeds well.

I load my major PF rounds (for my standard gun) to a longer OAL, though.

Yup I hear ya. I shoot a STI in standard and I use an OAL of 1.185 for it. Definetly feeds better, plus you can tell your minor/major rounds apart if ya get them mixed up.:D My wife shoots a g22 and I mess around with one from time to time as well. I'm going to set up a second toolhead in .40 soon & save the hassle of switching back & forth.

Might I suggst you get one of the "Redding Competition Seating Dies" instead? It's a bullet seating die with a micrometer adjustment. They are fantastic. You can accurately and quickly set the OAL to what you want with just a few turns of the knob. I then keep a second powder measure as well that I can just replace on the current toolhead.
