The magazine on it is a proprietary 10 round magazine like the 10/22 one, and the bottom part is a prop. Apparently some aftermarket 25 round mags can fit in the prop. So in effect it's a plastic prop (empty shell) to complete the look. It's the same idea as the Thompson kit. (prop)
So is this definitely true ? The magazine is just a prop ?
that means we have to use the stupid bananaclips and they will look very stupid on that gun.
I am very disappointed right now![]()
No. This is not the case. It is a proprietary 25 round mag with a mag cover. it looks ###y with the kit. No it wont fit you sr22 or other AR looking kit, sorry.
I keep hearing different things
Some are saying that it is a 10 round mag
While others are saying that it is a 25 round mag
Guess we will have to wait and see when it comes out.

See the first post, 25 round mag (confirmed by ProMag), which is placed into a shell. You get both with the kit.
Oh ok good, had me a bitfor a second there.
+100
Its 10 pounds of bad ass stuffed in a 3 pound sack. Even Chuck Norris is getting one.
I am still hearing contradicting stories about the magazine on the internet, some say its a cover over a 25 round magazine and some say its just a fake magazine with a 10 round box magazine on the top.
There is very little official information available about this stock.
The Promag website totally sucks, there is almost zero information on their website about the Marauder, since they manufactured it you would think everything you would want to know would be on there.
Being a 10 round mag or a 25 round mag cover would mean the difference between me buying it or not.
OK Im already preordered and I don't even have a 10/22 to use in it....BUT why
is the mag thing such a big deal? Cant you just use a steel lips 25rd mag and modify the mag shell to fit?
Ive heard that the included mag is proprietary to the stock...BUT we all know that gun nuts and a Dremel mix well!!! its called 'Gunsmithing'....well not really but you guys get it...how hard is it to mod the opening...heck when I get mine its all drum mags or nothing....!!! I think there is a better version of the Black Dog coming out for the Ruger...suppose to be for the SR22 but its the same action SOOOOOO.....it will work.
Thats my thinking....Bring on the input!!!
Will the regular 25 round mags work in this stock?
